Member Issues -
A policy was put into effect last year with the membership being notified that the Union will not recognize any member's issue or complaint unless it comes from the member them self. If a member contacts the Union for another member the issues will not be addressed. The bottom line is, mind your own business and allow the process to work.

Company Radio's -
A policy was put by the company to bring articles that you find on your assigned vehicle to the office. Do not call on the radio and discuss the articles with dispatch.

Your assign vehicle is your responsibility. What goes on with other company vehicles is not your responsibility. Stay off the radios.

Dues Deductions -
There were several new by-laws put in place that everyone would know about if they would have attended the meeting in the past four months. One of the amendments to the by-laws is that if you work less than 15 hours during any given month you will not be required to pay Union dues. The employer will still deduct the dues and the Union will reimburse you. This amendment went into effect on September 1, 2008.

Charters -
Reminder to the membership, if you cancel out of three charters during the 2008-09 school year you will be removed from the charter board for the remainder of the year.

In addition, if you do not perform any charter work prior to December 31, 2008 you will also be removed from the charter board for the remainder of the school year.
